What items can I recycle with Jackson Disposal?

Paper - Acceptable paper products would include: magazines, junk mail, copy paper, envelopes, newspaper, shredded paper, books hard or soft bound.  Paper can also be bagged to keep it dry or tied with string.  No Paper Plates.  

Cardboard - Corrugated cardboard, cereal boxes, beverage containers, packing and shipping boxes, paper egg cartons, soap containers, shoeboxes, and Kleenex boxes.  No wax cardboard - such as milk containers, juice boxes.  Please remove any packing peanuts or Styrofoam from the boxes.

Miscellaneous Metals - such as coat hangers, bicycles, pots, pans, lawn chairs.  

Cans - Aluminum, tin, or bi-metal cans are all accepted.  Labels do not have to be removed.  Aerosol cans are accepted also.  

Plastics - look for the recycling symbols on the bottles.  Symbols with the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 inside.  #1 plastics (pet) - such as water bottles or soda bottles - clear plastic.  #2 plastics - (HDPE) - such as milk jugs, laundry detergent bottles, cloudy or dark colored plastic.  #3, #4, #5 and #7 plastics - plastic packaging, food containers.

Jackson’s does not accept #6 plastic - which is Styrofoam.  Plastic bags or zip lock, or bread bags.  No Glass!
