Vacation Watches and Patrol Requests
Will you be away from home on vacation, on a business trip or visiting family and friends? We can give you peace of mind, knowing your property will be watched and checked regularly while you're away. If your shop or office is closed, we will check it regularly to ensure it remains secure.
While conducting a check of your home, property or business, officers will physically inspect the premises daily. Officer(s) will walk around the building, ensure it is still secure and report any issues immediately. Potential discoveries could include storm damage, doors left open or packages delivered to your porch. In a very unusual instance, a possible criminal act may have occurred.
The Aledo Police Department uses a computerized system for managing, recording and tracking patrol requests. Extra patrols and property checks are one of the duty responsibilities of our officers. Patrol Requests are not just a service to the community but part of our overall crime prevention strategy.
Patrol requests allow the Department to systematically and efficiently conduct and record property inspections of businesses and residences unattended for greater than normal periods of time. This service is vital to the security and safety of Aledo residents, businesses and the community as a whole.
