Aledo Residents Can Protect Themselves Against Costly Water and Sewer Pipe Repairs Through City Prog

ALEDO, IL – City of Aledo residents
have an opportunity to protect themselves against costly repairs of the pipesthat connect their homes to the water and sewer mains through a rejuvenated
city program.


The City of Aledo recently announced a yearlong open enrollment period for the Water-Sewer Lateral Repair Program, which covers up to $5,000 in repairs of those underground pipes (known as water and sewer laterals).
 Aledo residents can join the program during an open enrollment period, which runs through December 31st, 2022, for an annual cost of $144. Additionally, the City has elected to waive the $25 application fee and preliminary inspection requirements for residents who commit to remaining in the program for two (2) full years.


“The average out-of-pocket costsfor a homeowner to repair these pipes on their own can be anywhere from $2,500
to $5,000,” Jarod Dale, Aledo’s City Clerk, said. “This program is a great wayfor the city to help residents financially while providing quality service
through our utility service.”

business hours without an appointment.
