About The Aledo Aquatic Center

The Aledo Aquatics Center will be an accessible, affordable community resource near Historic Downtown Aledo, offering recreation, exercise, stress relief, and gathering space. The goal of this new facility is to be a regional attraction that creates economic opportunity and highlights Downtown Aledo as a place for residents and visitors to find adventure and wellness activities.

Community accessibility is a crucial feature of this proposed facility, including full ADA compliance, financial support or scholarships for facility access, and the potential for transportation assistance. Additionally, this facility will promote walkability and conservation through accessible, native landscaping and new walking paths to allow visitors to walk to the center.

The 2.28-acre site will be owned by The City of Aledo, under the authority of the Aledo Park District, and managed by the Mercer County Family YMCA.
