Public Swimming Pool

The public swimming pool opened in July 1939. The City of Aledo partnered with the Works Progress Administration to build the pool using WPA workers from Mercer County. The project architect was William Schulze of Moline.

The Aledo Park District Swimming Pool in Fenton Park opened for the 2022 season on Saturday, May 28. Weather permitting, the pool will remain open through Labor Day.

Hours: Monday through Sunday 1pm to 5pm.  Except Tuesdays and Thursdays in which the hours are 1pm to 7pm. (Note: the YMCA staff reserves the right to close the pool in unsafe weather or when the outside air temperature falls below 68 degrees.)

A day pass is available at a cost of $5.00 per day.  Season passes for the pool are available at a cost of $75 for an individual pass or $150 for a family pass. Party rental fees for a 2-hour party up to 30 people can be scheduled for $120.  An additional fee would be accessed for parties over 30 attendees at a cost of $35.  For parties beyond the 2-hour minimum, a charge would be accessed in an amount of $40.00 for each additional hour. Passes can be purchased at the pool during hours open to the public.
