Current Committees of the Historic Preservation Commission include:
Monument Park Committee
The Monument Park committee is tasked with research, planning, and location of consultants and vendors to bring about the restoration of Monument Park in the North West section of Aledo.
National Register Districts Committee The National Register Districts committee is tasked with identifying potentially eligible districts within the city, evaluating information gathered through research, and assisting in the creation of National Register of Historic Places Nominations.
Property/ Building Inventory Committee The Property/ Building Inventory committee is tasked with the collection and digitization of information on historic commercial and residential properties within the City of Aledo.
Public Awareness Committee The Public Awareness committee is tasked with sharing information about the work of the Historic Preservation Commission with the larger community. Activities include drafting press releases, creating informational brochures, and speaking to community groups.
Technical Assistance Committee The Technical Assistance Committee is tasked with helping property owners understand the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation when planning for care and improvement of their historic properties.
