The role of Mayor is to be the Chief Elected Officer for the city in all matters relating to government and community. The mayor ensures that the city fulfills its duties under the law and exercises its powers. The mayor is the presiding officer of the city council, in that capacity, helps determine city law. Among the duties of a mayor are the execution of official city documents and appointments.
About the Mayor
Mayor Chris Hagloch is a long-time resident of the community. He was elected in April, 2013 as Mayor of the City of Aledo. Before being elected as Mayor, He served as Ward I Alderman from May, 2006 to April, 2009. Then, re-elected to the Ward I seat in April, 2011. His current mayoral term will expire in May, 2025. Chris serves as the 32nd Mayor of Aledo.
